About me
For 15 years I have been actively involved in IBM i base technology. I have helped customers in hundreds of projects to overcome challenges in the operation of their IBM i so that they could focus on their core competence, services and products. Before I went freelance in 2021, I worked for two IT systems consulting firms with a wide range of customers, mainly in the industrial and furniture sectors. The customers were supported in data center operations as a managed service and on-premise. In data center operations, my projects focused on monitoring, continuous service maintenance and high availability. For on-site customers, the focus was on OS release changes, PTF updates and hardware changes as well as system connections, e.g. to an Active Directory for single sign-on operation.
